这是一次有 “ 要求 ” 的 “ 现代柴烧 ” 艺术活动。
之所以要冠以 “ 现代 ” ,是因为 “ 现代柴烧 ” 本是现代艺术运动的一项专属称谓,与传统产业性柴烧在目的与意义上都有所不同,追求的是涵泳、玩味被标准束缚的那一域桀骜不驯,但又直入意境,且极有可能成为形式语言的工艺样态。以求得真实、准确、自然、流畅、宽广无羁的语境重构。
所谓 “ 要求 ” ,即凡参加者不论际往,一切从下一分钟开始。因为资深有资深之陋,小白有小白之妙。重要的是不落套,不迎合,倾心以求,诚实以待,不做好看,专注表达。如果能消除自我怀疑或规则自封,而真正展开自己,形式语言完全从对形态、材料、工具、工艺等诸多元素悉心研究的过程中生成,即可实现叙述方式的完全个人化。我们的口号是 “ 一切都是材料 ,一切尽有可能 ” 。
如果真能做到像汉斯·哈克说的那样——打破某种机制和习气的潜在支配,解放受制的天性,保持和发展表达的自由,以实现正义与真理的普遍价值的宣扬,我们的工作或可具有一定的积极意义和完全价值。
《自由交流》一书中提到:“……知识的积累并不赋予任何优越性,而仅仅是更大的责任。”艺术是使人逐步崇高的事情,艺术家必须呈现最真实、最纯净的美好。如果因为种种原因而轻易地舍弃了天赋的“自主性”,那么就是舍弃了艺术真实。
这里没有明确的学术指向,没有热切的人文关怀,没有对人生的拷问和灵魂救赎,没有谨严的当代语境 话语方式……回到自己最舒服、最自在、最松弛、最真实的那个点,要紧的是能做什么,不是该做什么。

This is an “exacting” event of “modern wood firing” art. The reason for the use of “modern” is that “modern wood firing” is an exclusive term of the modern art movement, different in purpose and meaning from traditional industrial wood firing. It pursues the unruliness within the confines of standards, delving directly into artistic conception, and has the potential to become a stylistic form of language. The aim is to achieve a context that is authentic, precise, natural, smooth, and unbounded.
The term “exacting” means that for all participants, regardless of their background, everything starts from the next minute. Because the experienced have the flaws of the experienced, and the novices have the ingenuity of the novices. The important thing is not to fall into patterns, not to cater, but to devote oneself wholeheartedly, to be honest in waiting, not to create something visually appealing, and to focus on expression. If one can eliminate self-doubt or self-imposed rules and truly unfold oneself, the formal language will emerge entirely from the careful study of various elements such as form, material, tools, and craftsmanship, thus achieving a fully personalized narrative style. Our slogan is “Everything is material, and everything is possible.”
If we can truly achieve what Hans Hack said—to break the potential domination of certain mechanisms and habits, to liberate the restrained nature, to maintain and develop the freedom of expression in order to promote the universal values of justice and truth, then our work may have a certain positive significance and complete value.
In the book Free Communication, it is mentioned, “…the accumulation of knowledge does not confer any superiority, but only a greater responsibility.” Art is a progressive elevation of humanity, and artists must present the most authentic and pure beauty. If, for various reasons, one easily abandons the “autonomy” of talent, then one is abandoning the truth of art.
There is no clear academic direction here, no eager humanistic care, no questioning of life and soul redemption, no rigorous contemporary contextual discourse…Return to the most comfortable, free, relaxed, and genuine point of oneself. The important thing is what one can do, not what one should do.

1 9 5 8年出生于北京。1 9 8 6年毕业于景德镇陶瓷学院美术系。苏州工艺美术职业技术学院教师,中国美术家协会会员。
Born in Beijing in 1958, Pei Xueli graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in 1986. He is a teacher at Suzhou Institute of Arts and Crafts Technology and a member of the China Artists Association.
表达是内心的输出,不是单纯的呈现,就像丰富的原料装进制机里的产出。之于艺术表达,一切都是材料,一切尽有可能,唯真实是原则。否则,一切都不属于自己。
Expression is the output of the inner self, not just mere presentation, much like the output of a machine filled with rich raw materials. In terms of artistic expression, everything is material, and everything is possible, with authenticity being the principle. Otherwise, nothing belongs to oneself.

1960年生于四川重庆。1986年毕业于景德镇陶瓷学院美术系,1992年任江西职业技术师范学院服装设计系副教授,2000年苏州工艺美术职业技术学院服装工程系主任、教授。中国服装设计师协会理事。
Born in Chongqing, Sichuan in 1960, Ran Weihong graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in 1986. In 1992, she became an associate professor in the Department of Fashion Design at Jiangxi Vocational and Technical Teachers College. In 2000, she became the director and professor of the Department of Clothing Engineering at Suzhou Institute of Arts and Crafts. She is also a council member of the China Fashion Designers Association.

克里斯蒂娜 · 森泰(Kristina M. Szente),1967年12月8日出生于匈牙利,毕业于匈牙利民间艺术学院陶艺专业。拥有独立陶艺工作室,湖北美术学院客座教授,中国美术学院客座教授。
Krisztina M. Szente, born on December 8, 1967 in Hungary, graduated from the Folk Art Institute of Hungary with a major in ceramics. She works independently in a pottery studio and serves as a visiting professor at Hubei Institute of Fine Arts and China Academy of Art.

Born in Dushanzi, Xinjiang in 1974, Li Jian is an independent artist. He graduated from the School of Environmental Art at Jiangxi Normal University. He is a member of the China Arts and Crafts Association and the Jiangxi Artists Association.
(顾晓兰Gu Xiaolan)
1982年2月出生于苏州太仓。苏州工艺美术职业技术学院手工艺术学院副教授,南京师范大学陶瓷艺术设计系获本科学历,法国斯特拉斯堡高等装饰学院艺术品专业获DNAP文凭及DNSEP文凭。
Born in Taicang, Suzhou in February 1982, Gu Xiaolan is an associate professor at the School of Handicraft Art at Suzhou Institute of Arts and Crafts Technology. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Department of Ceramic Art Design at Nanjing Normal University and DNAP and DNSEP diplomas in the Art Profession from the Higher Decorative Arts Institute in Strasbourg, France.
